Abstracts may be submitted as oral or poster presentations. Please note that the review committee reserves the right to offer the opportunity either to present a poster or make an oral presentation.
Best Student presentation (oral/poster)
If you are submitting an abstract as a student, you can apply for the Best Student Presentation Award. The best student talk and poster will be awarded.
Terms and conditions
If your abstract is accepted for presentation, you are required to complete a congress registration. Your abstract will not be published until your registration and full payment have been received.
The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.
By submitting an abstract, all authors attest that the abstract submitted has not been previously published elsewhere and transfers, assigns, or otherwise conveys the copyright for its publication.
Presenters will be informed of the outcome of their submission at least by 30. 6. 2019. The organizers will communicate any information (acceptance as oral presentation or poster) exclusively to the registered e-mail address of the author responsible for the presentation.
The abstract will be accepted only after the presenting author has completed the registration.
Organizers will provide computers with standard software (Windows 10, MS Powerpoint 365). All oral presentations will be made using computers provided by the organizers. The standard aspect ratio of the presentations is 4:3.

For your poster presentations, please print your posters in max. size A0 (ca. 119 x 84 cm; portrait orientation) or smaller. Poster tables and fixing material will be provided.
Publication of an “ECMS 2019” special issue in Journal of Geosciences
We would like to invite submissions of your conference presentations as articles in a dedicated special issue of Journal of Geosciences.
This special issue will contain a selection of high quality papers showing the thematic variety of the 9thECMS conference in Prague. We would like to assemble a state-of-the art publication on modern mineralogy, spectroscopy and crystallography.
Instructions to Authors and Microsoft Word manuscript template are available to download at the journal website, http://www.jgeosci.org. All manuscripts will be the subject of a standard peer review by at least two international specialists in the field. František Laufek, Jakub Plášil, Jan Cempírek and Radek Škoda will act as guest editors, backed by Editor-in-Chief, Vojtěch Janoušek.
Manuscripts will be accepted for review until 31st of October 2019.
